Launch Recap for January 5, 2019

Happy 2019, New Year fliers!

Welcome to all who joined us on this lovely mildly windy but lovely day, particularly you new fliers and visitors. We’re really pleased to be able to serve you with a launch venue to help you to grow your rocketry skills and enjoy this educational hobby!

Welcome also to Boy Scout Cub Packs 78 and 631!  We’re glad to have you, your friends and families visit and fly with us and hope that you had a wonderful time.   Great job to all who kept their flying confined to the field and from the rocket hungry trees!  I believe all but one or two rockets managed to escape the upper reaches of the trees.  Even my rocket that caught the wind and flew due south was recovered by one of the kind neighbors.  Thank you!

Thanks also to everyone with their helping set up and tear down of our facility for launching. We greatly appreciate your willingness to step up and make setting up and tearing down manageable. Thank you also to the Little Big Econlockhatchee State Forest crew who keep the field for us. We appreciate your care for these natural facilities and appreciate your allowing us to use them to serve the community.

This launch makes three in a row!  Hopefully, we can see this repeat in February. We look forward to seeing you then.

Remember that NARCON 2019 will be held at Port Canaveral CCAFS March 1-3, 2019 and our we hope to support efforts to welcome fliers to our sunny state!  More information can be found on the website.  Keep an eye out for updates as we get closer.  Do email Pat or Jim with your availability to serve as a volunteer and get some added benefits!
