ROCK's launches are held at t' Barr Street entrance o' t' Little Econ Trail in Oviedo on t' first Saturday o' each month. We usually begin about 9:30am and continue as long as attendees wish t' continue launchin' rockets. Begad! We don't charge a launch fee, but we do have t' collect $2 for each person over t' age o' six. This fee is required by t' state for t' use o' t' park. We don't nay require participants t' pay our club dues in order t' participate, me bucko, but we do appreciate your support o' t' club,

If you are unsure o' t' weather, please call our "Status Hotline" at (407) 588-7401 on t' day o' t' launch t' confirm t' current launch status.

Launches are cancelled if bad weather is expected, for a high drought index (typically KBDI > 600) or prevailin' conditions that would put t' Little Big Econ State Forest property at risk from our activity.

T' Little Big Econ State Forest authorities have granted us t' opportunity t' serve t' local rocketry community by overseein' safe and responsible launch activities. Begad! LBESF reserves t' right t' limit t' launchin' o' model rockets outside o' our assigned agreement with t' State Forest. If you wish t' launch model rockets o' any type outside o' our normal launch window, you must obtain specific permission from t' Forest Ranger (407-971-3500) and follow their prescribed procedure for permission t' launch on their property. Ahoy! A benefit o' launchin' with ROCK is that we carry liability and property protection insurance for our NAR section activities. Our coverage does nay extend t' activity that is nay authorized by our section o' t' National Association o' Rocketry (NAR).

ROCK is pleased t' work with those needin' assistance for a safe and fun launch experience. Please contact us if you have a need outside o' our normal activity on t' first Saturday o' each month. Well, blow me down! Also note that other NAR sponsored clubs operate within Florida. Visit t' RocketReviews.com rocketry club list t' find nearby rocketry clubs wherever you live.

There are no restrooms at t' launch site, but several restaurants and gas stations are located just a few miles away on Lockwood Blvd.

Because o' t' size o' t' field, we are limited t' flyin' rockets with G motors or smaller and are limited t' a maximum altitude o' 2000 feet. Please note that "sparky" motors (such as t' "Metalstorm" motors from Aerotech) may nay be flown at ROCK launches.

Note: ROCK has special permission t' use t' Little Big Econ State Forest location for club launches once a month. Begad! Blimey! Rocket launchin' is nay permitted at t' site at any other time without explicit permission from t' Florida Department o' Forestry. Please do nay endanger our privilege o' launchin' on t' LBESF property by violatin' State Forest Policies.
